Drone survey in Northeast India

Our first highway drone work, in October 2020, was for NHIDCL projects in Nagaland and Manipur, around Dimapur and Kohima. Hill roads there are where drone and LiDAR surveys save the most time.

What we survey in Northeast India

Three-dimensional model of forested hill terrain built from drone data
Hill terrain under forest is mapped with LiDAR, which reaches the ground between trees.

Working in Northeast India

Steep slopes, cloud and forest make ground survey slow in the hills. A drone covers a long stretch quickly, and LiDAR reaches the ground under trees where photos cannot.

Every survey is tied to DGPS ground control and checked against independent checkpoints, and delivered as drawings, GIS layers and reports in your coordinate system. Read what each deliverable is and what decides the cost.

Frequently asked questions

Have you worked in Nagaland and Manipur?

Yes. Since October 2020 we have provided aerial imagery, videography and survey for NHIDCL highway projects in Nagaland and Manipur, around Dimapur and Kohima.

Why use LiDAR in the Northeast?

Much of the terrain is under forest. LiDAR pulses pass through gaps in the canopy and map the ground surface, which photogrammetry cannot see.

Do you work for NHIDCL and BRO?

Yes. Both are among our clients.
